TA2. Implications of line parameters on Microsource controller algorithms

ISET: The resistive character of low voltage lines and the resistive/inductive character of medium voltage lines causes coupling between reactive and active power flow. Due to this, especially voltage control on the low voltage level becomes difficult. Two approaches of tackling that problem will be examined:

  • meshed low voltage grids will be assessed for additional voltage control capabilities by means of ATP-EMPT simulations (ISET).
  • inductive decoupling of long low voltage lines will be assessed by means of simulation and by validation in laboratory or with a field experiment (ISET / SMA).
